Lawrence Lake has been designing and creating custom and personal residences for his clients for four decades. Founding his career designing and building luxury homes in Scottsdale, he created an award-winning portfolio of residences that reflect both his client’s style and the architecture of their homes. With a focus on new construction, our firm creates comprehensive and detailed sets of architectural plans and finish specifications that make builders happy. Focusing on interior architecture we mold and sculpt spaces to reflect the needs and desires of our clients. Creating homes that are intuitive, functional and visually rewarding. Collaborating with the architect and builder on paper and in the field to create spaces that are buildable and on budget. Our design team creates interior furnishings plans that are extensive and detailed. Searching for the right product and source to create interior magic. Furniture, rugs, draperies, art and lighting are selected to bring a unique character to the interior that fuses to the architectural base we have designed. Residential design is very personal to us, it is an honor to create spaces where people fulfill their dreams.

paradise valley estate
In Paradise Valley we furnished a beautiful home for a beautiful woman. The 10,000 sq.ft formal Italianate mansion was detailed with hand carved stone moldings and detailed iron trim. We filled the home with a collection of European traditional furnishings melded with modern upholstery in rich and luxurious colors and textures. The family home was designed to meet the needs of the successful couple, teenage children and large dogs. Function and durability are the design program’s foundation. It is the finishes, textures and shapes that bring a personal sense of luxury and sophistication to the home. The furnishings reflect the couples’ expansive taste and style range, working together to form a collection of objects that reflect the true soul of the residents.

scottsdale desert modern
In North Scottsdale we designed this modern, new construction, vacation home with PHX Architecture. The Wrightonian style design features natural stone, massive windows and a strong connection to the site. Our finish selections reflect the light and refined nature of the architecture, focusing on creating a context for living in the desert. The open kitchen plan spills outside onto patios with pools, fire pits and views of the golf course and mountains. Our furnishing selections are comfortable, understated and subservient to the desert site

beadle box reborn
Three fountains was designed in 1963 by case-study architect Al Beadle, the godfather of Arizona desert modernism. The 64-unit international style complex has housed generations of architects and creatives drawn to its modernism. We reimagined “what would Beadle do” with the help of Beadle’s protégé and partner architect Ned Sawyer. The 1,200 sq ft unit was built on an 8’ grid featuring glass walls and indoor-outdoor living space. We used terrazzo floors and white walls and millwork to refresh the interior. A new open plan kitchen is the focal point with signature” Beadle Ball” lights and a custom wall graphic of beadle patterns.

tucson family compound
Western influences emerge in this Tucson residence for our long-time clients. We embellished the new home with studded steel walls and rustic woods to create a grounded lifestyle in the desert foothills home. Modern furnishings and details were layered with luxurious fabrics and finishes to create a rustic modern luxury. An extensive art collection and family possessions bring the character of the residence to life. Our work with the family has included multiple residences for the parents, homes for a grandparent and multiple adult children. Understanding the personalities, lifestyles and aspirations of our clients is the primary goal. Creating environments that support, nurture and reflect them is our greatest reward.

dc ranch estate
In Scottsdale’s DC Ranch is a rustic estate we created with home builder Rick Padilla. We designed and detailed interior construction plans for the 6,000 sq ft Spec home to bring the builder’s passion for reclaimed and rustic materials into his luxury residences. Reclaimed beams, doors, ceiling and floor materials were all sourced to bring an authentic character to the spaces. The meandering home is focused on an indoor/outdoor lifestyle, as the home opens up to multiple patios and entertainment spaces. Once sold we were commissioned to furnish the vacation home with a collection of eclectic western furnishings to create a personalized interior reflecting the value and style of the homeowners.

chandler reinvention
She moved to the desert to reinvent her life after a family tragedy. Reimagining a new life in a new place was the design goal. The tract home in Chandler on a private lake was gutted and reimagined for a new lifestyle. One that represented her tastes, values and lifestyle goals. The private refuge was designed for visiting family and friends and as a representation of her future life. An expanded kitchen and outdoor connections transformed the plan into a lakeside retreat for fun and relaxation. There she wrote a successful self help book that transformed her life forever.

silverleaf estate
Located in exclusive Silverleaf, this 17,000 sq ft estate was the sixth residence we created for a home builder client. The European design with French and Spanish influences, reflects the village nature of design and architecture. Fusing multiple structures and styles to create a time curated architectural style. Inside we detailed the interior architecture to reflect the rustic European nature of the exterior architecture. Then we added the client’s layer of luxury and lifestyle. Importing European furnishing, fabrics and finishes to create an authentic feeling to the interior spaces. With the luxuries of a glowing bar, movie theater, kids stage, wine cellar and 10 car garage the home is filled with design and opportunities for a life filled with home activities.

mummy mountain predock
This Iconic modern home by celebrated Architect, Antoine Predock is a textbook example of his approach to desert architecture. Modern, clean with a strong sense of site line and light. The mountainside home was purchased by a bachelor client as his primary residence. Our design program focused on respecting the architectural integrity and integrating his lifestyle and personal preferences. Classic B&B Italia upholstered furnishings created our design base. Clean lines, limited materials and a sense of masculine energy were infused into the interior. Focused on the architecture and site, the interior design respects the homes pedigree origins and celebrates the new life and energy of the client.
