Our interior design for Alexan Tempe for Trammell Crow Residential focuses on creating strategic product placement within an evolving urban and suburban community. The freeway-adjacent site, located in an older neighborhood, represents a transforming suburb with a mix of existing properties and new, modern, mid-century inspired developments, creating a unique opportunity for the developer. Our designs emphasize architecturally inspired interiors wrapped in textured finishes that connect with the area’s growing demographic. The result is engaging, comfortable spaces with an aspirational quality that inspire connection among residents and build a strong sense of community.

The modern, stand-alone leasing center designed by Todd and Associates Architects features a pitched roof, angled walls, and an exposed mechanical ceiling. Our design focused on creating an architectural materiality that both highlights and humanizes the structure. A cast concrete tile wall with rivet detailing defines the space behind the leasing desk, while heavily textured wormwood barn siding wraps the surrounding walls to add warmth and depth. A custom-tiled leasing desk paired with oversized architectural drafting lamps draws focus to the leasing experience. Conversations are centered around a wall-mounted leasing screen, with a mix of table and lounge seating for more relaxed interactions. Brutalist-style chairs combined with 1980s-inspired upholstery create an inviting and comfortable welcome for prospective residents.
The younger, mobile working demographic allowed us to design shared workspaces that enhance and support residents’ professional needs. Centered around an open conference area anchored by a coffee bar and printing station, the space features architectural ceiling and wall details that define and unify the environment.
A pod of enclosed work desks provides flexible options for personal or group work, while a series of private rooms address specific needs: a focus pod for individual tasks, a lounge pod for small group interactions, and a formal conference space for meetings and presentations. Furnished with a blend of corporate workspace solutions and casual bar and lounge seating, the environment feels both professional and comfortable.

Our luxurious retro 70s ruddy red velvet lounge sofas set the tone for the resident lounge and play spaces. Their arrangements create multiple areas for residents to relax and connect with friends. Brutalist-style wood chairs and steel tables accented with stone and leather add comfort and individuality, creating a distinctive club-like atmosphere.
The corner bar opens to the patio, pool, and gaming areas, forming the perfect setting for large gatherings. A community table, café banquette seating, and an outdoor patio encourage shared experiences. Warm woods, rich colors, and vibrant patterns bring a sophisticated energy to the furnishings, uniting the spaces into one cohesive and welcoming environment.
